Breakneck Cinematography: Eric Steelberg & Sharp Cut Nathan Orloff & Shane Reid drives the relentless, frenetic pace with last-minute tweaks that round out the mostly game-playing cast (Smith’s Chevy Chase, brimming with ego and sarcasm, O’Brien’s dark and funny Dan Aykroyd, and Wood, who makes the film look like a much-departed, great John Belushi, stand out. ). While Batiste’s score keeps the film moving, it gets repetitive and old after a while, and the awkward Podany as the troubled Billy Crystal (the guy looks nothing like a comedian, which doesn’t help) is beyond annoying. There are plenty of Easter eggs for SNL fans, which still adds to the nostalgic joy.
